About Gary Maxwell

Gary Maxwell has been taking professional photographs for over 25 years. He is an Associate of the Master Photographer Association (MPA) and an Associate of Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers (SWPP).

Gary started out as a young man wanting to be an artist. Frustrated by this he turned his hand and his eyes to photography a career in which he has excelled.

He was born in Romford, Essex and moved to the West Midlands in the late 1960s, where he's been based ever since.

And his other interests include golf and card war gaming!

Equipment

For studio work Gary uses a Nikon D2x, a top-end digital camera. For outdoor work and weddings he uses medium-format Hasselblads now digitized with a Leaf Aptus digital back, known and respected in the trade as the most precise camera available, the best build and the best optics.

Gary's studio is based in Lillington, Leamington Spa, large enough to accommodate groups of up to twenty people. His studio sessions include Babies, Children, pets and adult portraits. He has become a specialist in portfolio photography for actors and models as well as his renowned make over sessions, for more glamorous memorable pictures.

Gary uses the highest quality materials, Epson papers, printers and inks for the digital photography and is always at the cutting edge of photographic digital developments.

First and foremost portraiture trained, Gary brings a unique angle to event and wedding pictures. Gary concentrates on photographing the person, not the "bride and groom" and has a large range of different packages to suit everyone's taste.

Gary writes "My very First Wedding was on 4th September 1981 - from that day I was hooked. Creating and capturing people's wedding memories is a wonderful feeling. It gives great satisfaction and allows me to deal with my most favorite of topics ..... people."
