I work all over the Midlands creating artistic award winning portrait and wedding photography for my clients -

I am based in my purpose built studio in Leamington Spa. However I am also happy to accept commissions throughout the Warwickshire and the West Midlands as well as travelling to Northamptonshire, Oxfordshire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Gloucestershire and the West Midlands.

I first won awards for my portraiture way back in 1988 winning four regional awards (Midlands Portraiture) and finding myself in the Finals of the Fuji Wedding & Portrait awards in both the the Wedding & the Portrait sections and found myself being crowned Wedding Photographer of the Year for Fuji. I achieved the finals again in 1995.

 

Portraiture.

As I have previously stated, I call myself first and foremost a portrait photographer. I have been told that my style is both relaxing and inspiring. I love taking a client who says that they are not photogenic and proving them wrong. My first portraits were Family Photography based, but later I found that my baby and child photography improved. I often feel that you need experience to photography children properly. Being a parent also helps. I do laugh at many high street setups that advertise for photographers with "No experience required"! I believe that having empathy with your client, what ever the age, is what is needed. I love empathy and personality in my portraits and like that fact that many examples adorn the walls of my clients in Leamington Spa, Warwick, Kenilworth and around Warwickshire.

So to recap. Under the heading of portraiture my services can be commissioned for Family Portraiture and portraits, Baby photography and child portraits. Maternity and bump photography, Couples and individual portraiture, Environmental portraiture and not forgetting Pet Portraits.

 

Makeover and Boudoir sessions

Makeover and boudoir photography has become very popular again in recent years. I like to think that I have been around from it's rebirth. Again my approach has always been to get personality into my makeover portraits. It's a great feeling to make a client feel beautiful and special. My favorite phrases for makeover photography are " Sexy", "Feminine" and "Glamorous"... nothing sordid, just apply these phrases to outfits you big into studio and you wont go wrong. Remember to substitute "Glamorous" for the word "Fun" if you are under 16 years of age!

Maternity and Bump 2 baby

On the back of the reemergence of makeover and boudoir photography, there has also been a rise in demand for maternity and Bump 2 Baby. Also with film stars like Demi Moore and other celebrities it has shown to girls that being pregnant can be beautiful, although you may not always feel it! In my studio this is something special, you take it too the level that you want. As a photographer I feel that the flesh of the bump is ideal... but not essential. Likewise, the girl who wants to take it to the limit can do so knowing that the results will remain tasteful.

 

Models & Actors

Modelshots caters for the portrait needs of both models and actors. A good portfolio is essential to launch your career in modelling and useful for actors. The packages also include digital images and the freedom to publish and print as you need. Although the basic packages are studio based, sessions away from studio can be added.

 

Wedding Photography

What more can I say. My weddings are done properly. I have one main package... It includes an album ... you can add to it framed wall portraits... you can purchase the digital images... but most important of all... you get over 30 years of award winning experience.
