Gary Maxwell- Wedding Photographer

Gary Maxwell has been taking wedding photography for over 20 years working from his purpose built portrait studio in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire. He has won many awards to his credit being a past winner of the UK Fuji Wedding Photographer of the year as well as being crowned the Midland Photographer of the year on two occasions and winning many awards in the West Midlands area.

Gary is an associate member of both the MPA - Master Photographers Association and the SWPP - Society of Wedding & Portrait Photographers Ampa., Aswpp

Gary's first wedding was on 4th September 1981 - from that day he was hooked. Creating and capturing people's wedding memories is a wonderful feeling. It gives great satisfaction and allows him to deal with my most favorite of topics ..... people.

Over the past twenty years he has developed a relaxed style that incorporates the right mix of traditional wedding photography and reportage photo styles - it is important to have choice.

He works through album based packages (Collections) to allow you the customer to know exactly what the costs are. If you feel that any package falls short of your wants, say so and a package will be designed to meet your requirements.

Portraiture in my studio is an enjoyable experience.

Being a portrait photographer by nature, his approach is to relax the bride and groom with the aim to getting the couple to enjoy themselves. " A happy relaxed couple will feel and look more natural ... it's a natural look that will make your album."

Lighting and locations are obviously important to a good portrait but an inner confidence is the key. My skills are in creating that confidence. Most people are intimidated by the thought of having a portrait taken, but with a little coaching you will find the experience memorable.


One of the best tips that I can pass on to any bride is simple .. don't try to act natural .. feel natural
